If you are looking for the absolute best, museum-quality, luxury prints, I offer Lumachrome prints externally framed using ROMA Handmade Italian Tabacchino Dark Ash Frames or a choice of 5 other framing colors (Cigar leaf, Matte Black, Silver, White, or Gold) with liners in your choice of colors. Custom framing options are available, see options available in the shop. However, there may be additional charges.

I will get technical here, but I want to clarify why we choose this process to highlight my work. This revolutionary product gives viewers the highest-resolution life-like viewing experience available today. The optically clear finish on the acrylic gives the work a 3D effect while reducing glare to nearly zero. These prints will show great even in rooms with many windows. Acrylic Prints or “FACEMOUNTS” are creations of desire that can be found hanging in the finest galleries in art destinations worldwide. LUMACHROME prints surpass Fuji Flex, bringing unbelievable resolution, clarity, vibrancy, and Dmax with an incredible 3D image quality to your photo that can appear backlit and holographic. We create custom ICC profiles with a tweaked tone curve to get the maximum 3D effect and 16-bit printing for the smoothest tone and response. LUMACHROME is ONLY available face-mounted due to the special process. The Lumachrome process is engineered to overcome and surpass the limitations of traditional Fujiflex chromogenic processes and inkjet processes. Details appear to emerge in 3D from the depths of the image with the Lumachrome process thanks to the transparency layer that is infused with iridium particles and is encapsulated in a layer suspended between the white poly surface and Acrylic.

I have decided to pair my open-edition prints with Bay Photo Lab to bring you the finest quality on-demand printing with several options for print sizes. Bay photo has been a trusted partner of mine for over 15 years. Each open-edition print will now have several paper options, including canvas and metal options. This allows you to fit your design needs within your own budget perfectly.

All prints can be purchased using each image page’s drop-down menu. Click on the image you like, select from our size and material options, enter your customer information, and continue to checkout. Our secure checkout process seamlessly guides you through without the hassle of entering endless information. PayPal or credit cards are accepted. When looking to purchase multiple pieces, custom invoices may be created for volume discounts. Contact me directly by email or phone.

Because of the level of detail put into our products, once a purchase has been made through our website or by email, our products take approximately 21 business days to deliver. Any artwork over 60” may take additional time, as well as externally framed work. Every print purchased is fully insured by our printing company and packaged with museum-level care. Due to shipping company requirements, artwork must be inspected within 48 hours of arrival. Things happen. If, for any reason, the item was damaged during the shipping process, photograph the packaging along with the artwork and send the piece directly back. We take our customer service very seriously, and a replacement will be immediately run through production and shipped to you.

Shipping is free on all artwork on this website inside the United States. Panoramic images larger than 60” in length or items needing to be shipped outside the United States will require additional costs. Please email me your details to find your specific shipping rates. Our printers use the most advanced techniques fine art printing has to offer. Derek Nielsen Photography’s entire image collection is available in only Lumachrome HD Acrylic, Silver Halide paper, or Chromaluxe Aluminum. These three mediums offer the highest level of detail and quality available on the market today. We offer other custom print mediums and sizes to meet your desired décor needs. Please ask for details. Each image will have one and only Artist Proof (AP) and one and only one First Print (FP) for every image available in our limited editions.
