Antarctica 2020
Limited Edition Fine Art Print of 6 – On my last trip to Antarctica in 2020, I was gifted an incredibly beautiful sunset as I said goodbye to the frozen continent after a wonderful photography expedition. I kept thinking to myself that Antarctica is the most emotionally beautiful place on earth. Each day was better than the one before. After several days there, I thought for sure I had seen all that Antarctica had to offer. As usual, nature had one more trick up its sleeve. As the expedition ship pulled away from the shore, the sun was setting, and the light was beginning to get really soft and beautiful. The minutes passed as the light faded, but down at the bottom of the world, the sunsets can last a lot longer due to their position with the sun. The clouds began to glow cotton candy pink with accents of fire orange. I ran to the back of the ship to capture every last glimpse of magic that was unfolding before my eyes. To say a tear wasn’t shed would be a lie. Antarctica is truly one of the most beautiful, untouched places on earth, and we need to do everything we can to protect it.
