Iceland’s Diamond Beach is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. Its created by an outwash from the Breioamerkurjokull Glacier that forms the famous Jökulsárlón lagoon. This lagoon empties into the Atlantic Ocean carrying large chunks of ice caved from the melting glacier receding up the mountain. Waves from the ocean push these beautiful compressed ice sculptures back ashore, stranding them one the incredible contrasting black sand beach.
