After moving into my new apartment in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, I wanted to begin capturing shots of the city from my 54th-floor apartment as soon as possible. One of the reasons I chose this place was because I envisioned capturing powerful storms as they rolled into Chicago with my camera. I had no idea that the first week, I would be spoiled with a magnificent light show from above. The way the setting sun burst to the west under the storm clouds, casting a rainbow over the lake, exceeded my own imagination. This image is a 1 of 1.
