Limited edition fine art print of 6 – When I approached this location to set up my shoot for the evening, I could already tell it was going to be one of those special sunsets I would never forget. The fall foliage was really vibrant. It was as if the mountain was alive. Storm clouds dropped fresh snow on the distant mountains as the sun peaked through breaks in the clouds. As the sun grew closer to the horizon, the storm clouds became full of purples, pinks, and oranges, nicely complimenting the fall colors on the mountain. It is sunsets like this where, as a photographer, I can approach it with a plan, but nature raises the bar and blows my expectations out of the water. Photo © copyright by Derek Nielsen.
