Lilac-breasted rollers are some of the most beautifully colored birds in the world. Their vibrant colors catch your eye in any light. While on Safari with Ndiof Safari in Tanzania, I was determined to photograph one with my 600mm f/4 lens, which is great for capturing bird portraits. This little guy flew up beside our jeep in the soft light one morning. I pulled his small body into focus. This beautiful shot is a special one. They really don’t sit still for too long.
