One of my favorite new features in Chicago is the gorgeous riverwalk. During normal times people and families can walk the shore along the river walk enjoying the beautiful architecture Chicago has to offer. With the unrest across the country, including Chicago, various precautions have been implemented to reduce the violence seen in these cities. On rare occasions, Chicago’s mayor raises the bridges to decrease the amount of people who can gather to protest. As a photographer, I jumped at the opportunity to not only photograph Chicago in a unique way but also capture this moment in history.
