Nearly 10,000 species of butterflies have been discovered in Borneo. They come in all shapes and sizes. Some show vivid colors others extensive patterns. Here I loved the patterns on the wings with the look of galactic stardust on its inferior hind wings. Most tropical jungles draw people in because of their lush forest or impressive primates or bird species, but the sheer variety of butterflies had me mesmerized in Borneo.
